I am a sucker for a cleaning hack.
I have tried them all. From using scrunched up foil to get rid of rust, to using a copper coin to get rid of limescale (this does actually work, and I still use this hack often!)
However, there is one cleaning hack that I have used for many years, and continue to use daily. Anyone I have told about this hack has in turn incorporated it into their daily cleaning schedules.
It is simple, quick and cost effective. In fact, it works out much cheaper than alternative hacks/products.
Some would say it is not really a ‘hack’, but simply a product.
I would argue that the product is so versatile and useful for most household chores, that it really does qualify as a hack. It is a such a common household item that it is available to everyone, and does not require complicated tools or harsh chemicals most of the time.
Have you guessed what hack I may be referring to?
I am referring to the old trusty baby wipes. 🙂

Whether I am cleaning the office desk, the windowsill or the bedside cabinets, they are fantastic dust trappers. I also keep a packet in the car, and use them to wipe down the dashboard and steering wheel. Oh, and the seats. I also use them for basic purposes as we all do. My daughter often eats sticky lollies in the car, and as parents will know, children tend to drop them or spit them out. When my daughters hands and mouth get sticky, baby wipes are my go to.

Then there are the muddy dog walks. We often take our dog for long walks, no matter the weather. However muddy walks mean even muddier paws. Bably wipes are fantastic to get most of the dirt from paws before getting into the car.

Baby wipes are my go to for cleaning my phone screen when i’m on the go. Yes, it can make the screen a little smeared but it will do until i can get home and clean it properly. I do use antibacterial spray on all devices at the end of each day, but baby wipes are useful to use during the day to get rid of any dust or food crumbs that gather. Everytime I eat, I almost always have my phone in my hand. It’s certain that crumbs from my biscuits will end up on the screen. Then if I throw my phone in my bag, it can get a bit filthy when it gets lost amongst the stray tissues and empty packets (i really do not empty and sort my handbag often enough!).

The cheaper brands of baby wipes are just as effective as the bigger brands when used for household cleaning. I tend to buy baby wipes in bulk, so that I always have plenty of stock.
These are the baby wipes I usually buy https://shorturl.at/3DuMA
Just be sure that if you use baby wipes that they are recycled as per instrucitons. My daughter once used baby wipes to clean her babies, and put them down the toilet.
You can imagine how that turned out!
Cheerio
